Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

We collect minimal data. When you purchase a product, Stripe collects your payment information directly. We receive your email address and transaction details from Stripe to fulfill your order. If you request a free worksheet, sign up for our newsletter, or join a waitlist, we collect your email address. Requesting a worksheet does not add you to marketing unless you separately opt in. Budget, savings, debt, renovation, and Homeowner Dashboard information entered into the tools stays in your browser and is not sent to us. This includes dashboard home labels, purchase figures, value estimates, loan information, costs, projects, and replacement plans. We do not collect phone numbers, physical addresses, or financial account details through these tools.

2. How we use your data

• Fulfill purchases and deliver requested digital products, including free worksheets
• Send transactional emails (receipts, download links, support responses)
• Send newsletters or updates if you opted in (unsubscribe anytime)
• Analyze aggregate site usage through privacy-respecting analytics

3. Third-party services

We share data only with services necessary to operate:

• Stripe — payment processing (see Stripe Privacy Policy)
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Vercel — hosting, infrastructure, Web Analytics, and managed data storage

We never sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers.

4. Cookies and tracking

This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Vercel Web Analytics collects anonymized, aggregate usage data without cookies or personal identifiers. Dashboard analytics record coarse actions such as opening, exporting, importing, or erasing the tool; they do not include the property or financial figures you enter. Stripe may set functional cookies during checkout.

5. Browser storage and retention

Budget, savings, debt, renovation, and Homeowner Dashboard tools save entries in local browser storage so they remain available after a refresh. Dashboard export and import happen on your device through a JSON file you control. Exported files are not encrypted. This information stays on your device until you use the tool's erase-data control or clear browser storage. We retain transaction records as required for tax and accounting purposes. Newsletter email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. Transactional delivery records are retained by our email provider according to its retention practices. When you opt into marketing, we keep a consent receipt containing the address, time, source, policy version, and a one-way hash of the request IP for up to two years. Download tokens expire automatically and are not stored.

6. Your rights

You may request:

• Access to the personal data we hold about you
• Correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Unsubscribe from all communications at any time

7. Data security

Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe and never touches our servers. Download links are cryptographically signed and time-limited. The site is served over HTTPS.

8. Children

This site is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated via email to subscribers.
